Great place to play. Greens were challenging but rolled well and pure. Challenging tree lined holes with some water but only came into play if your shot strayed. Traps could use some conditioning (pretty hard), but general course conditions made up for that. Fun play for sure.

Tee boxes had many divots but we're still in good shape Fairways were in really good shape and the ground is very fertile so divots are very easily created sometimes when you don't want them. The greens were in good shape but had many eyesores and what appears to be repair spots. This did not really affect the game more just a visual aspect. Courses actually pretty long, most of the par fours were at least 400 yards so if you don't hit 200 plus you're going to be using your long clubs for your second shot like I do. I average 200- 215 with my driver. Course also has a lot of character. Very few straight holes although almost every hole could use a driver if you want it on the 1st shot. But rarely could you see the flag from The Tee Box which is refreshing. Course was well marked and they even had a free book with distances and the holes marked out. This course had nine holes added to it so you do not finish at the clubhouse on whole nine you're actually quite far out so it's either 18 Or make sure you take a cart if you're only playing 9 so you can get back. Many of the holes had serious out of bounds or lost balls in the woods if you weren't hitting straight. For $35 for 18 holes with cart this is definitely a course worth playing and the town is definitely worth seeing. It's right off of Interstate 55 so not a lot of traveling to get to it. The course itself and condition is probably 4 Stars but the overall experience easily makes four and a half. Some more work on the tee boxes and greens and I would label this a five and I wish I lived closer to make it my home course

We stayed there overnight using Harvest Host. People were nice. Beautiful course had a fenced in playground for the kids. We were enchanted watching all the fireflies:) Fell asleep to a thunderstorm ❤️
