Glenview National Golf Club Tee Times

This is my absolute favorite place to stay when I’m in Glenview/Chicago! Impeccable staff and Manager John McCauley is the best. I stay here several times a year when traveling for business and I’m always impressed with the entire staff and how professional and welcoming they are to all their guests. I have spent much time getting to know the team at the Glen Club. Entire staff is super friendly and helpful going above and beyond with the extra flair you only see at the best hotels such as this one. I will continue to come here as often as I can and always tell friends and colleagues there is no better place! Thank you for your hospitality. Overall we had a great stay. And was a great venue for our family's wedding. It's small so it makes it easy to get around and it is a few minutes walk from the Glen Town Center with shopping, entertainment and dining options. The restaurant on site was great, especially the complimentary breakfast with our stay which comprises choosing an entree off the menu and beverage. There is also a coffee/hot chocolate self-serve station in the hallway available 24/7. The staff is great especially Arielle at the front desk. The improvements needed are showers with a semi slippery floor when wet and an outdated water system that took a while to get hot and then adjust to a usable temperature. The biggest upgrade needed is the reservation system. As we were part of the wedding block and staying before and after we ended up having multiple reservations even when the rate was the same each night. It was annoying for us to check in/out everyday and it was clear with all of the staff (although they were incredibly professional) that they would appreciate an updated system that is user friendly and can provide great a guest experience.

It is more rare nowadays to be able to find a hotel that is clean, courteous staff and even if it’s aged, doesn’t seem like it shows it. In addition, to wake up and have a breakfast omelette, potatoes, toast that doesn’t taste like cardboard. So if you’re looking for a quiet, courteous, laid-back place to crash for a night or two and want a great breakfast definitely stay here. Kudos to the management and the whole team it takes a lot of effort to make everything work from A-to-Z for a customer.

Golf was great! Course in good shape, done in 4 hrs 20 minutes. Afterward we had lunch, food was very reasonablely priced, large portions and it was very good.

The course was nice and well-kept but the service was horrendous. We walked in the afternoon as a foursome and ON THE FIRST hole told to “speed up play.” At that point we decided to play best-ball scramble style. And realized that there were solo players behind us in carts. We let them play through and didn’t see a single person until the final hole. During the time when there was nobody in front of us or behind us we were approached 3 more times by the marshal telling us that “people were calling the clubhouse and we needed to speed up.” We then couldn’t even tee off of another hole because one of the residents decided to have a prom party on the tee box and had hundreds of high schoolers take pictures on the tee box. Until the service gets better I cannot recommend this course. You would be better off playing at just about any other north side course or even a true muni. At greens prices over $200, it just doesn’t make sense to have service like this.
