Been playing for years. Greene are very good however they don’t maintain the sand traps. They are concrete. No sand anymore and haven’t been raked all year. It’s actually embarrassing. When we are in the sand, we just pull the ball out. Seriously over priced. Go to pine meadow for a better experience. Even Deerfield fc. So many better options. This place needs to understand the market. Needs new management.

Enjoyable public golf course. Navigating through some woods, it backs up to the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Tips are only 6600 but pure greens make birdies challenging.

My friends and I love playing Glencoe Golf Club, it’s great for any handicap (scratch-20+). The greens were great, very fast for a public course. Unfortunately I have to give it 3 stars due to the range (or lack there of). Its an $80 round with a cart but you have to pay $10-15 for range balls on top of that just to hit off rock hard, old mats and be told the range is “irons only”.
Not only should it be included if you’re going to charge $80 (never paid for range balls at a good course, take a hint) but at the bare minimum let it be a grass range.
TLDR: Course is great, but skip the range to save your wallet and wrists.
