Of course, slow play is part of golf on the weekend. However, there should be a marshal on the course to control pace of play. There’s no excuse for two foursomes to be allowed to play best ball on a Saturday. The entire front nine was brought to a standstill due to incredibly slow play from two groups. The clubhouse is staffed with young, temporary employees who are clueless to what’s going on throughout the course. Prairie Vista as a course is great but the city of Bloomington should seriously consider who is managing the property. Three hours to play seven holes is ridiculous, unfortunately, we won’t be back. There are far better options to for golfing in central Illinois.

Stumbled upon this on travel. Great course, played after some rain, course was a little wet but in great shape. Greens were a bit tricky. Well worth the cost

I love this course but was very disappointed yesterday. They don't have any water on the course and no fountain water in the clubhouse. Your only options are to use their crappy water fountain, which only filled my cup up about halfway, or buy it from the clubhouse. I then asked if they could put ice in my water but was told that they don't have ice anymore. If you do play here make sure to bring your own cooler, ice, water, and beer from home. They don't deserve to have any additional money spent there, on top of the already expensive green fees, if they can't even provide ice. The course gets four stars but the hospitality gets zero.
