Barrington Hall Golf Club Tee Times

I’m dropping 5 stars on Barrington Hall, and here’s why. This is a fantastic layout—**challenging, fun, and scenic**. It has long, rewarding driving holes where a great tee shot really pays off, along with strategic approaches that make you think. That alone is worth three stars. As of Thanksgiving 2025 Barrington Hall is absolutely on the way up. The greens were smooth and rolled well and you can tell the course is trending in the right direction. New carts, new cart paths under construction and a genuinely solid group of guys who clearly care about creating a positive experience for every golfer. I played it twice this week and had an absolute blast figuring out the course. Barrington Hall is quickly becoming a course worth the drive to Macon, and I’m excited to see what it becomes.

I have been a Barrington Hall resident since the early 90's and I have to say that I am amazed at the transformation just within the last month since under new management. New golf carts was a great start! The fairways and the greens are getting some much needed care and the short term results are hopefully just a glimpse of improvements to come. I looked at the fourth fairway and the green this morning and noticed a huge difference already! I believe the new management has some great things planned for our golf course.

Owner Jeff Moody has the course in outstanding shape. Greens are fast and beautiful. Fairways were clear of leaves and debris. Prices were very reasonable. We had a foursome come up from Tampa, FL for the weekend. We all have committed to come back. 10/11/25

We had a really good meal. Cajun salmon and the meat lasagna. We will be back. Had the meat lasagna again, the chicken quesadilla and had flatbread as an appetizer. All great. Oh, the ribs were outstanding

This place could return to the gem it was once, but it will take $$$$ and effort to do so. You can't expect golfers to be the ones to foot the cost of what it will take. How does one justify having a driving range and being out of balls by 0900 hrs. How do you charge $30, just for 9 holes, and 95% of your tee boxes are dirt with hardly any grass. Cart path is so treacherous and neglected that golfers are making their own paths. This place still needs a lot of work, and it appears either the funds ran out or the owner(s) just stopped working on the punch-out list. Living close by, I want this place to prosper and be the gem it was back in the day. But not seeing improvements after the amount of time this place reopened has me looking elsewhere. Honestly, I drive to Covington and play Ashton Hills for $35 (18 holes), and it's 1000 times in better shape. It's sad when BH is a 5 minutes drive.
