I was in town for vacation and booked on GolfNow. The staff was so kind and accommodating. I try and find new courses when out of town and was really pleased with the experience. I had read old reviews before booking and there were some that were mixed, mainly older ones. The new pro shop was really nice and had some solid gear and options available. If we find ourselves back in Port St. Joe, we won’t hesitate to play again.

Enjoyed the course. Could probably be about 15 to 20 cheaper on price. Update: Price discounts are now available. Enjoyed a second round there this week.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Easily one of the worst golf experiences I’ve had.
First off, the staff is absolutely terrible—rude, unhelpful, and clearly playing favorites. We were told we couldn’t play as a group of six, yet we saw multiple groups of women playing with five or more people, no issue. When we brought it up, they gave us an excuse that “they were members so they can do that.” It was clear they were just picking and choosing who to enforce rules against.
The course itself? A complete joke. The tee boxes were chewed up, uneven, and looked like they hadn’t been maintained in months. The greens were just as bad—patchy, bumpy, and slower than anything I’ve ever played on. If you’re looking for decent playing conditions, don’t waste your time here. The pictures attached is what basically every tee box and green look like.
To make matters worse, the place gives off a clear anti-military vibe—if you’ve served, don’t expect any respect or appreciation here. As for the so-called “pro,” he’s as soft as they come—completely avoids face-to-face interaction and has no interest in actual customer service. When an issue came up, a staff member came to speak with us, but instead of addressing it himself, he just stood at a distance, clearly visible, yet never had the nerve to come over and handle it directly. We even asked to speak with him.
Save your money and play somewhere that actually respects its players and maintains its course.

Marcel Stadtmann (Cityman) I recently had the opportunity to play at St. Joseph Golf Course, and I have to commend them for their great layout. The course offers a wonderful setting that enhances the golfing experience. However, I did encounter some challenges during my rounds, especially with the greens. They are undeniably awesome but can be a little difficult to navigate, which could make it a bit challenging for players looking for a more relaxed game. On the bright side, the staff at St. Joseph Golf Course were incredibly friendly, making the overall experience enjoyable.
