I played Valencia today during the afternoon for my first time. The off season rate was $39 with the cart. The course was in excellent shape and the pace of play was super fast. The greens, tee boxes, traps and fairways were in great shape. All employees were courteous and welcoming. I will definitely play Valencia again.

Golfed this course yesterday. When we arrived early they were out of golf carts, so we had to wait about half hour for a cart. Our tee of time was 12.04 and there was a long wait on the first hole. We got off 30 minutes later than tee off time. Course was not in bad shape. Greens were fine. Took close to 5 hours to play. Not worth the dollars charged for a public course. Will not go back.

I’ve played a lot of golf. This was, without question, the most embarrassing excuse for a golf course I’ve ever paid to play — and I paid $188 for the privilege. I knew I was in for something special when I was directed to the ‘pro shop,’ a double-wide trailer with a hot dog stand.
Valencia Golf & Country Club charged premium pricing for what can only be described as a completely neglected property. Yes, public golf is limited here. Yes, demand is high. That does not justify charging nearly $200 for a course in absolute shambles.
The fairways were dry, brown, and patchy — in many places there was barely grass at all. Divots weren’t maintained; it genuinely looked like someone scattered sand in the dark and called it “repair.” There was no meaningful turf to hit from.
The greens? Not green. Brown. Uneven. Lifeless. For that price, the greens should be pristine. Instead, they were an embarrassment.
They also have the audacity to police pace of play while stacking tee times. We were pressured repeatedly to “play faster,” despite the fact that on 12 of 18 holes we were waiting on the group in front of us. You can’t rush a traffic jam.
I understand supply and demand. I do not understand charging luxury-level pricing for conditions that would be unacceptable at a $45 municipal course.
It’s not just overpriced — it’s shameless.
Save your money. There are far better options in Naples. This place should be embarrassed to collect that rate for what they’re offering.
