We had a good, well-paced round on Friday March 6. Staff was good. Greens and fairways were very nice, with the greens being both the hero and the villain. They are beautiful and evil. Changes of elevation and perched greens give the golf course a unique personality that wants you to play it again.

I’ve played a total of six rounds at Highlands Reserve Golf Club over the past three years, and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed.
The staff greets you each morning with a sincere hello, and the team inside the pro shop is always friendly and professional. The course layout is a lot of fun, offering a great variety of holes that keep the round interesting from start to finish.
The tee decks are pristine, the fairways are in excellent condition, and the greens are fast and nicely undulating. If you’re playing during the winter months, I highly recommend spending some time on the driving range, chipping green, and putting green before your round. When you miss the fairway and end up in the dormant winter grass, you’ll need to adjust your strike and swing to control the ball and land your targets.
As a Canadian, I do find it a little pricey with the exchange rate, but the experience is well worth it. Whenever I return to Davenport, this is a must-play course.
It’s also a great touch that the staff greets you at the end of the round and cleans your clubs.
My buddies and I will definitely be back.

I played Highlands Reserve Friday January 30, 2026. I have not played much Florida Golf, so I really didn't know what to expect. I'll try to hit on my whole experience. Price was good, I guess. $119. Service was Great... from being met in the parking lot with our carts, to the guy at check-in, the Starters, the Rangers, and finally being met in the parking lot upon finishing our round. Golf Course conditions: Tees and Greens were phenomenal. Fairways were very green, but cut so low that it felt like you were hitting off of hardpan. The rough was bad. It was dormant, which I believe is to be expected in winter, but there was very little actual grass in the rough. Pace of Play was Great. We played in just under 4 hours, on a full golf course! Thanks
