When in Delaware, I always make it a point to play Deerfield GC. But more importantly the staff is always first class and accommodating. An absolute gem that’s less than 2-hours from central new jersey or convenient for any local in DE. Great gold course with amazing views, challenging fairways and a fun and challenging 10th hole. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Deerfield in September 2024, and we truly could not have asked for a better team to trust with such an important day. From the very beginning, Lizette and the Deerfield staff were incredibly responsive and patient, walking us through floor plans, tastings, timelines, outside catering questions, and every little detail that makes a wedding actually work. They even let us come by to take photos and videos of the venue ahead of time, and whenever we ran late or needed clarification, they still welcomed us and made sure we left with answers instead of stress. When we hit a major snag with our outside caterer right before the wedding, Deerfield stepped in and covered the bulk of the manpower so that our reception could still run smoothly. That kind of support goes far beyond “just a venue” and is a big part of why our day turned out as beautifully as it did. On the night of our wedding, Lizette took the time to send a thoughtful message wishing us an amazing celebration, which really captured the heart behind everything they did for us. As a family, we look back on our wedding with so much gratitude, and Deerfield is a huge reason why. The space is gorgeous, the staff is professional and kind, and they consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for. If you’re considering Deerfield for your wedding, we would wholeheartedly recommend them.
