Great local golf course with competitive prices. It took me and my friends about an hour and a half to complete all nine holes. It wasn’t very busy which was nice, we went on a Monday morning while it was raining. It was still a fun experience. I recommend checking it out

Mistakenly left my Blue Tee Player+ speaker on my cart. Immediately called when I got home to inform them I planned to return the next day to pick it up and was told they never found it. Have visited and called multiple times to see if it showed up. Should hold your staff accountable for stealing someone’s property.

Played here for the first time and had a good experience. Course was in solid condition and pace of play was fine.

Not half as impressed with the Black course as I was with Chris Bargas GC in nearby Shelton that I played the other day. Fairways and greens were both in meh condition. The back 9 is slightly more redeeming in terms of layout but overall underwhelmed with the course.

I’ve been playing the wheel for years, and it’s gone completely down hill. Yesterday we played a 6.2 hour round.
It started with no “starter” being present. I went in the pro shop and found the starter, a younger woman, scrolling tiktok with the other two teenagers that run the cash register. I was there 1.5 hours early, she never once came outside, or started anyone. Everyone was confused when they were allowed to tee off so people began taking matters into their own hands including and not limited to fighting over golf cart access. We had to walk into the charging bay and take a cart, after being directed by a young man who was in charge of the carts that were was a “cart shortage”
Our tee time was 1130, at 11:10 an 8 some went off (my first time seeing an 8 some on a public course). Followed by 1115 a two man group, then our foursome at 1130. I called the proshop twice and they said a ranger would come out. Spoiler alert, after 6.2 hours not one ranger was seen
After the round I called the pro shop and tried to speak to the superintendent and head pro, neither of which were at the course on a sunday. I left messages and never got a call back, including calling again today.
The tee boxes are an absolute disaster on top of this terrible management of the pace of play.
I sent this review to golf now and the town of fairfield so they understand what’s happening with one of their two 18 hole courses….needless to say you’re better off playing at smith or the par 3.
