Ft Collins Tour: This place was well kept and cared for. They had Porta Potty's everywhere on the course. Everyone we encountered at the counter was very nice. My son asked me to take him golfing (I'd play the role cart driver while he golfed). He was added to a group of 3 other golfers. They were the nicest people and they were engaging and supportive of him. They helped to make it a really good experience. We will definitely come back here on our next trip to Ft. Collins

We recently played at Mountain Vista Golf Course for a birthday outing, and while the course itself is nice, the experience with the staff left a very bad impression. The pace of play was what you’d expect at a public 9-hole course—groups ahead of us were beginners and moved a little slower, which was no problem. We had three people in our group, but one friend didn’t have a bag. An employee came up to us about this, which we understand might be a policy, but the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional. Instead of politely explaining, he immediately approached us with a harsh tone, telling us we needed to hurry up—when in reality we were waiting on the group ahead of us and couldn’t have gone faster even if we wanted to. It felt like because we were younger, he thought it was okay to be rude. When he later spoke to my sister, he carried over that same attitude, which naturally caused some tension. What bothered us most wasn’t the bag misunderstanding (which was never mentioned on their website when booking) but the disrespectful way the situation was handled. A simple, “Hey guys, you’re a little behind—could you pick up the pace?” would have gone a long way. To make matters worse, the beverage cart attendant (who wasn’t even present for the situation) came over later and accused one of us of being rude to her coworker, which was not only untrue but unfair—especially since we had just purchased drinks from her and were perfectly polite. Even the employee at the front desk had an attitude at check-in. Overall, the course itself is decent, but the staff’s rude and unprofessional behavior ruined the experience. For what should have been a fun, laid-back round to celebrate a birthday, we left feeling disrespected and frustrated. We won’t be coming back.

I have not golfed the course yet, but it’s my favorite place to hit the range and practice the short game, the chipping area is great. Every employee is happy to help, and I don’t look like your favorite golfer but I am accepted as theirs and it’s cool.. can’t wait to book a tee time!
