JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa Tee Times

Property is lush & well manicured. The rooms are spacious and great views if facing the pools. Employees at the resort need a refresher course in customer service. Our experience: 1st night we ordered room service and were promised it would be at our door in 45 minutes...it took double that time! When we questioned the timing we were told they were busy. I ordered a cheese quesadilla (because I'm a vegetarian) and it was delivered stuffed full of chicken! 4th night we ordered two pizzas from off-site...they were delivered to the front desk but the employees at the desk never alerted us of the pizzas being delivered. We finally called and they said, yes they had been sitting there for a while! We ate cold pizza since there are no microwaves in the room. We found it extremely hard the entire time we stayed at the resort (6 days) to talk to anyone at the front desk...the message on the phone would be to either stay on the phone and your call would be answered in the allotted period of time OR to press "2" to receive a call back...Neither option worked...no answer OR no call back. Both golf courses were fun to play...both challenging yet fair. They were in good condition for being resort courses that get a lot of play. I do think the Palm course could use a dog to chase the geese into the water...that course had a fair share of goose poop that you needed to navigate around.

Overall nice place. The room can be quite far from elevators and hard to navigate around. The bed is very comfortable. The housekeeping needs some improvement. Didn’t reset previous guest alarm (so it went off at 5am) and also didn’t change shampoo bottle (was empty). The pool water is comfortable but got some bugs floating around. The food is pretty good. And party space is beautiful.

Beautiful grounds and a very nice experience. If you stay during a tournament weekend, highly recommend you book private transportation to/from the airport. Do not skip the spa, it’s worth every penny. Blue Star Lounge is the best hidden gem & Emy was our favorite bartender in the place.

We stayed at the JW Marriott in Palm Desert to start off 2026 and were genuinely impressed. The customer service here is top-notch—from check-in to housekeeping to staff around the property, everyone was professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. As a small business owner who prioritizes and delivers great customer service every day, I don’t say this lightly. In an era where customer service is often an afterthought—especially with large corporations—it was refreshing to see a big brand execute it so well and so consistently. Every interaction felt intentional and respectful, not scripted or rushed. It made the stay smooth, relaxing, and memorable. Well done to the entire team. This is how hospitality should be done.

We stayed at this resort to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary and this is my true and honest review. 10 out of 10!! The grounds are absolutely stunning with the best views! To be honest when we arrived it literally felt like we went to another country! You get the best of both worlds ( weather wise) when traveling in February. It was warm during sun up the cold at night AND you can travel 30 minutes to the tram and see snow!! I did have a mishap that was correct in literal MINUTES!! This is why I say 10 out of 10 because I understand that things will happen but it’s not so much about what happens but how they respond! I would absolutely come back here again and again!
