I played a round with my brother this afternoon. We played the mountain course which we were told was a bit more challenging vs the valley course. Not the toughest course I have ever played but certainly a tough course. The course itself was in decent condition for it being the end of the season. Nothing like the course condition I experienced in. Bangkok last week though. It was a nice quiet round and we hardly seen any other golfers. I rented clubs today they gave me a set of Titleist clubs and I’d say the clubs were well used. Cost for a round, the cart, and clubs was $250. The pro shop does not have much for sale, and they need to improve the experience of checking in and accessing the carts and driving range. Waiting 10 mins to shuttle you down is not ideal. I would play this course again but I’ll play other courses in the area before playing this one again.

Accommodation was 5 star - we were upgraded and they had a charcuterie waiting for us upon arrival and the second night as it was our anniversary they had chocolate covered strawberries. Hotel decor was amazing. Staff were attentive and engaging, in particular one of the valet gentlemen and one of the bartenders. Bar/restaurant has a pianist every night that is amazing. Restaurant had amazing views. Dinner was excellent but not big servings so not great value. We spent around $130 on dinner and my husband went back to the room to fill up as his meal didn’t do that for him. Breakfast however was large but also expensive - eggs, toast, hash brown and bacon was $27 and a regular coffee $6. $27 dollars for two pieces of French toast ( regular size bread). Again good but way over priced. What was missing was: No pool ( there was a very small serenity pool attached to the spa you could use - not appropriate for swimming )and lack of outside seating areas ( the view is spectacular so an area to lounge would have been great ). As well our room had a huge patio but only 2 chairs- a couple of loungers or a hammock would have set it off. We were visiting to see Victoria and so when we got to Bear Mountain f At Dinner time we were in for the night - having additional activities at the hotel would make a difference. We did not take advantage of the spa so cannot comment.

Range balls are old and dirty . Spaces between each stalls are narrow. Valley course has only one toilet at end of hole 15 (portal potty). Bunkers are terrible. For the money they charge, customer service is mediocre. They should provide better balls.
