Now Golf Ranch Glendale - I was pretty excited for this place to open and see how it improved from new ownership and the changes made. Let me start by saying they are not cheap, almost double other local ranges (think Top Golf pricing) They seem to emphasize new / better balls and the Trackman system, a relaxing place to improve your game. Appearance is that the new pro-shop / revamped building and new bays at the driving range are nice. The range itself does not to appear to have changed as the "grass" in front of the bays is over grown and is dead 60 yds out and further. The balls are clean and new Mizuno practice balls, the matts are new and clean but they do move & slide with full swings, and the Trackman gives the basic data like other practice facilities around the valley. I was expecting more data like simulator or fitting Trackman data that is not there (I use my own launch monitor for those data points). Towards the end of my swing practice 2 employees were 2 bays away from me joking around being loud as I had about 10 balls left, there was no awareness as it continued through my backswing as if I wasn't there. After that I went over to the putting practice area which also appears to be unimproved. The "grass" is splotchy with different types and lengths all over the green. There are areas around the green bare in spots leaving muddy dirt areas. All in all I was expecting more from new ownership and improvements, specially given the increased prices, but was let down in my first outing back since the changes. To be honest I am not sure I will be back anytime soon with the pricing and lack of Golf improvements beyond a Trackman.

Fun track. AWESOME greens. Impressed by how well these are maintained. I loved the par 3’s and tricky short par 4s. It’s a great place to work on your short game.

This has been my go-to place for a quick round for years now and I've never had a bad experience. Play can be a bit slow every now and then but that's just golf for ya. The staff have always been great and I'm looking forward to the renovations. The greens are already way better than they used to be.
