Augusta Ranch is hands down one of the best golf experiences in Mesa! The course is always in great shape with lush fairways and smooth greens that roll true. It’s the perfect balance of being fun for beginners while still offering a good challenge for more experienced players. The staff is super welcoming and makes you feel right at home from the moment you check in. Pace of play was excellent, and the layout is beautiful with great views all around. If you’re looking for a well-kept, friendly, and affordable course in the East Valley, Augusta Ranch is the place to go. Highly recommend!

August Golf Course – Mesa
Nice course, but the experience is absolutely not worth $95 per person.
We had an 8:00 a.m. Sunday tee time. No one helped with clubs, no greeting, no sense of hospitality—yet we were immediately asked to select a 20%, 25%, or 30% tip at check-in. Tipping should be based on service, and there was none.
The bar and food service don’t open until 10:00 a.m. on weekends, and we didn’t see a beverage cart until the 16th hole. For a course charging premium rates, that’s unacceptable.
Pace-of-play management was poor. We paid to play as a twosome, were paired with another couple, and still had a twosome pushing us all day. No effort was made to manage spacing or improve the experience.
What stood out most was the lack of customer service—no smiles, no engagement, and no effort to justify the price or the tip request. I golf in Scottsdale regularly and gladly pay more when the service matches the cost. That was not the case here.
This course has potential, but management has dropped the ball. Until service and operations improve, the price is hard to justify.

I come here at least once a week to hit range balls since it’s close to my house. A bucket is $25 which is a little pricey, but that’s fine. There are even weeks I come three or more times.
Today I brought my 9 year old son with me. He wanted to hit a few more balls, but not enough to justify buying another full bucket. I politely asked the employee with the red beard, someone I’ve seen dozens of times, if I could grab 10 extra balls for my son so we wouldn’t have to purchase another bucket.
He responded rudely, “Not a chance.”
I was honestly taken aback by the response. It caught me completely off guard. I walked over to Craig, who manages the place and whom I’ve gotten to know since I’m here so often, and let him know about the interaction. If I didn’t know Craig personally, I probably wouldn’t come back after that experience.
I’m still blown away by how it was handled. That’s not how I run a business, and customer service like that needs some attention. Please don’t respond with something like, “If we gave 10 balls to everyone who asked, we’d be out of business.” That explanation just doesn’t hold up in a situation like this.

One of the best places to play golf for golfers of every skill level! Incredibly well kept, challenging, and fun. Highly recommend spending some time at the Toptracer range, in addition to the course.

I’ve been coming here for the last year but will not be returning.
They have jacked the prices of range balls to $25 a bucket after 4pm- ridiculous cash grab.
Course pace is out of control waiting 10+ minutes a hole with the ranger nothing about it. It took 2 hours to get to hole 7 before I decided it wasn’t worth my time to continue anymore.
The course is constantly wet with mud throughout the fairways and rough. Staff is not friendly- much better courses and management you can find locally than here.
