Ol’ Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa is one of the area’s best spots for golfers of all levels. Managed by the Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority, this beautifully maintained course offers a peaceful, scenic layout that makes every round enjoyable. The 18-hole championship course, designed by former U.S. Open champion Jerry Pate, features rolling fairways, challenging bunkers, and fast, smooth greens. It’s well-balanced—tough enough to test experienced golfers but still approachable for beginners. The facilities are top-notch, with a driving range, practice greens, and a short game area perfect for sharpening your skills. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, adding to the overall positive experience. The clubhouse is clean and comfortable, with a pro shop stocked with quality gear and a snack bar for a quick bite or drink after your round. The course is especially beautiful in the spring and fall, offering great views and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you’re playing a full 18, practicing your swing, or just enjoying the outdoors, Ol’ Colony delivers consistent quality and Southern hospitality. It’s a true Tuscaloosa favorite and one of the best values for golf in the region.

This is a beautiful, well manicured golf course with spectacular views that we had the pleasure of playing while in town from Ohio. The staff was extremely polite and professional, and if we return in the future, we'll definitely be making a reservation to play here again. Highly recommend Ol' Colony!!

A great place for golf in Tuscaloosa. It’s also where the university of Alabama golf team plays. They keep the course in great condition and the greens are in good shape also. Looking for a great place to play golf in Tuscaloosa? Look no further. This place is a great value.

Everything is great but no marshall. Behind sorry foursome and took us 5 hours to play. Backed up groups behind us. Could make people not want to play there again if it happens again.

What a fun day attending the final round of the Toyota Classic, part of the Women's Epson Tour. Congrats to Celine Borge of Norway who won without a caddie and also carried her own bag!
