Fourth golf course on the RTJ golf trails - Grand National.
Links Course - challenging, fun and peaceful. Greens are fast. Everything seemed easy after Ross Bridge, lol.
Short course - It is all about the short game. It was December, so it got dark very quick. I did not get to finish all 18 but I had a blast.
RTJ rankings, in terms of challenges:
1st: Ross Bridge and Silver Lakes
3rd: Grand National (Links course)
4th: Oxmoor Valley (Valley course)

I had a truly horrible and disappointing experience at RTJ Golf Trail at Grand National on Valentine’s Day. My husband and I had pre-booked a tee time for two, brought one set of clubs, and were prepared for a fun outing. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the service was unacceptable.
The man checking us in was incredibly rude and, frankly, sexist. When he saw I would be playing, he told my husband, “Well, she can’t. Here’s your two options: rent clubs for her or she can just drive the cart.” He repeated himself in a condescending manner and spoke to my husband as if I weren’t even there, even asking, “IS SHE LISTENING?” This level of disrespect is completely inappropriate.
We attempted to resolve the situation by renting a second set of clubs, and it took multiple trips before we were finally allowed to play. Even then, his attitude was hostile, and he seemed more annoyed by the presence of young couples enjoying golf than willing to provide a welcoming experience. When I expressed that his behavior had dampened my first-ever golfing experience, he responded, “I can’t take that into consideration.”
On top of the poor service, the course itself was in disappointing condition. Greens had holes everywhere, several places were covered in golf cart tracks of mud, and the overall maintenance was lacking compared to other RTJ courses I’ve worked at. The course felt neglected and far from the “Grand” standard the name implies.
Overall, this visit was deeply frustrating. The combination of rude, dismissive staff and poorly maintained grounds made this one of the worst golf experiences I’ve had. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this course to anyone and we will not be returning.

Well designed course.
Links course is tuff for any handicap.
Greens have been plugged but will come good in a couple of weeks.
The staff are great.
Bar food and drink are good.
