Blackberry Trail Golf Course Tee Times

Municipal course that is somewhat a links style course. This is the easiest layout I've played so far in North Alabama. So I believe it is a little more forgiving than the others I've played so far. I'm playing the course out of season so don't let the brown grass fool you. Theres plenty of lie to hit off of even if you're off the fairway. Very enjoyable layout. All of the greens were in amazing shape. Very fast. If I'm guessing probably around an 11 on a stimpmeter. And still challenging enough. Clubhouse and staff were great. There is a small restaurant area to eat in with more than just a hotdog/sandwich choice. I believe there was draft beer as well. Overall highly recommend especially for higher handicaps as it is still challenging enough but forgiving enough not to lose a ton of balls.

Let's see, if there was an option for negative stars that's where this place would rate. I am a disabled Marine Veteran whose 8th grade son had his FINAL youth meet today at Blackberry Trail Golf course, we were informed by the coach limited golf carts would be available, because of my back and knees I called in advance and offered to pay to secure an additional golf cart but was told we were unable to because there were two meets and only 3 carts per school would be offered...again offered to pay for an additional cart but told not an option. I went out of my way to rent another golf course approved cart to bring to ensure I could be able to watch my son compete and after unloading and waiting for 30 mins for meet to start my fiancé was approached by a staff member who informed her due to "insurance" we were unable to use our own cart. When I asked if I could sign a waiver I was told it had to do with members of the housing development "pitching a fit" if I was allowed to use mine and they can't use their personal carts. To take all steps to ensure my ability to watch the game, to then be told two different reasons, I highly doubt either were honestly the right reasoning more of perk to line the pockets by requiring golf cart rentals thru their facility only and over-booking two tournaments all while allowing adults to still use carts to play holes as well, is more in the right direction of the truth. I will be sure to broadcast Blackberrys inability to make exceptions to a United States disabled Marine or too at least accommodate the folks who physically were unable to watch their kids last game. Shame on you Blackberry Trail Golf course you have certainly lost this customer and shown true colors of your character to your patrons. I won't even mention the golf carts that were being brought back and parked for the 80 student meet you were more concerned about than the one my son was in.

Excellent service, nice course to play. This is the second year I have attended a tournament on this course and it was a great place to enjoy the game. It’s a fun course, and offers a few challenges around every turn. I will definitely play each time I’m in Florence.

GREAT VALUE. Blackberry Trail is a very nice track and is in very good condition. The greens are large and insulated with some precious pin positions. The greens are a tad slow making putting difficult. I'll be back. I'd give 5 stars if the greens were a bit faster.
